The Sylacauga Community Playhouse Board of Directors is a group of seven elected members consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Chair, and two other members. They typically meet first Tuesday of each month to discuss and vote on productions, make financial decisions, problem-solve, help assemble production teams, ensure we abide by our bylaws, and more. The board follows Robert's Rules of Order at all meetings, and members are encouraged to attend monthly meetings to stay up-to-date with what's going on in the playhouse. Members are not permitted to speak at these meetings unless they submit a written request in advance to be placed on the meeting agenda. Each December, the board hosts an annual membership meeting for all members to vote on new board members. The board members each serve a 3-year term and officer positions are voted on within the board during the January meeting, establishing the new year.

Christina was the child of a military family and spent her childhood moving from base to base. Dance and theater gave her ways of making friends and finding new opportunities no matter where her family moved. She was in every production her high school in Northern California did from her freshman year until she graduated. After high school, college, work and life took her away from the theater for many years. She was brought back to the theater by her oldest and youngest daughters who performed in many of the SCP summer productions. Unfortunately a busy mom life kept Christina off the stage. With two children off to college and one in high school, she had the time to return to the stage for the first time in over 30 years and made her debut in Little Town of Christmas last year. She was also the House manager for the summer production of Finding Nemo Jr. When not involved with SCP, Christina is the Administrative Assistant and Registrar at Cornerstone Christian School in Columbiana. She also enjoys spending time with her husband of 24 years, Roger, her girls and her extended family and friends.
